Objective
The MeMed Clinical Case Competition is designed for educational purposes only and not as an incentive to increase utilization of MeMed products. Participation is not intended to influence clinical decision-making and should not impact a participant’s independent medical judgment. Rather, it is meant to promote shared clinical learning through real-world examples of MeMed BV usage. The initiative aims to highlight the clinical value of MeMed BV as experienced by healthcare professionals, while fostering a professional community of knowledge exchange and peer engagement.
Eligibility
The competition is open to all healthcare professionals practicing at active MeMed clinical sites. Participation is voluntary.
Patient Privacy and Data Use
Patient Privacy and HIPAA Compliance: All submitted cases must be fully de-identified in accordance with HIPAA standards. Participants must not include any Protected Health Information (PHI) or individually identifiable health information. By participating, participants represent and warrant that all submitted case studies comply with applicable federal and state privacy laws. Competition Timeline

Submission Process
- Participants must complete an initial case submission form, available via QR code or online link.
- Upon submission, a MeMed representative will contact the participant to gather detailed clinical information. This includes (but is not limited to) case background, lab results, MeMed BV score, clinical decision-making, and patient outcomes.
- Participants consent to the use of their anonymized case data solely for educational and scientific purposes, including publication in peer-reviewed journals and presentation at medical conferences.
Case Selection Process
- All submissions will be reviewed by MeMed personnel to identify the top 10 high-impact cases.
- A designated judging panel of three independent experts appointed by MeMed will assess the top 10 cases based on:
- Educational and clinical value
- Quality of documentation and clarity
- Demonstrated impact of MeMed BV on clinical management
Prizes and Recognition
- 1st Prize: Up to $2,000 reimbursement
- 2nd Prize: Up to $1,000 reimbursement
- 3rd Prize: Up to $500 reimbursement
Important: Prizes are awarded solely as reimbursements for actual educational conference expenses, including registration fees, economy class travel, and reasonable accommodation. All expenses must be documented with original receipts. Prizes are non-transferable and are exclusively for professional education purposes. Unused funds will not be paid directly to winners..
Additional high-impact cases may also receive recognition or non-monetary tokens of appreciation, such as inclusion in peer-to-peer learning activities or MeMed communications. Other educational rewards may be granted at the discretion of MeMed’s team.
Disclaimers and Compliance
- MeMed reserves the right to modify or cancel the competition at any time.
- Participation does not imply any commercial relationship or obligation.
- Submissions must not include identifiable patient information. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure all data complies with local privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- MeMed employees or immediate family members are not eligible to compete.
- All decisions by the judging panel are final.
Participant Acknowledgment
By participating, participants acknowledge and agree that: (a) participation is voluntary and for educational purposes only; (b) submitted case studies contain no PHI; (c) participation creates no obligation to use, prescribe, or recommend MeMed products; and (d) all submitted information is truthful, accurate, and based on actual clinical experience.
Institutional Requirements
Participants are responsible for obtaining any required approvals from their institution, hospital, or healthcare system before submitting case studies to this competition. Participants must ensure their participation complies with all applicable institutional policies, including those related to conflicts of interest, data sharing, and external activities.
MeMed is not responsible for participants’ compliance with institutional requirements.
Regulatory Compliance
This competition is designed to comply with all applicable healthcare regulations, including federal and state anti-kickback statutes. Prizes are awarded solely for educational purposes and are not intended as inducements for the use, purchase, lease, order, or recommendation of MeMed products or services.
Governing Law
This competition and protocol are governed by the laws of the State of Massachusetts. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the State of Massachusetts.
